Imagine, riding through vineyards, over great hills and mountains and feeling like you are Tao, Egan, Jay, Primoz or Tadej. While wearing the Samarreta Blava! The leader's jersey in the second Giro d'Catalonia.

All-Inclusive road 'race'

Lodging

The lodging takes place in either 3/4* hotel, apartment or 4* campingbungalow. Depending on the size of the group we contracted different options so that you can spend the week with your (cycling) friends/family. We take care of mueslibars, fruits, breakfast, small lunch and a daily menu at the end of the ride. Later, when we are back you can watch the real professionals on the TV from the comfort of your couch.

Road bikes

For/from this year we have partnered up with Bianchi Bicicletas for the rental of the road bikes. We have several sizes and the bikes are all in a good shape. You only need to bring your cycling clothes and your gloves. We have the helmets, the pedals and even the water bottles. Want to bring your own bike?! No problem! You will even get a discount!

Different stages

From more or less flat roads (remember, we will be cycling in Catalonia, no real flat roads here) to rolling hills to steep climbs and even real mountains. Everything can be found in Tarragona and Barcelona provinces.

The routes for the Giro d'Catalonia 2025 are finally known!


7 challenging stages. From Catalan flat roads to the real Pyrenees. Everything is included. The contenders of the Sammareta Blava can fight our their battles on the slopes of challenging hills like the climb up to Panta Foix, Port d'Rojals, Coll del Bruc, Coll de la Creueta, La Molina, Tibidabo  and many others. The 'sprinters' get their chances at the end of the stages in order to win the amazing Sammareta Taronja. Yes, you can take the jersey home if you win it!


Sunday 11/5. Stage 1: Hilly time trial: Vilanova i la Geltru-L'Arboç. 15.55km, 263m^ L'Arboç 4th cat.

Monday 12/5. Stage 2: Calafell-Montblanc-Calafell. 157.4km, 2171m^. Coll de Bonastre 3rd cat. Port d'Rojals 2nd cat.

Tuesday 13/5. Stage 3: Calafell-Manresa. 137.1km,  2502m^.  La Talaia 3rd cat. Camp d'Ases 4th cat. Les Llambardes 3rd cat. Coll del Bruc +

Wednesday 14/5. Stage 4: Barcelona-Girona. 165.2km, 1388m^. Mirador de Tossa de Mar 4th cat. Subida de Tossa 4th cat. Xaloc 4th cat. 

Thursday 15/5. Stage 5: Queen's Stage Ripoll-Ripoll. 171.9km, 3187m^. Coll d'Canes 2nd cat. Coll d'Santigosa 4th cat. Merola 3rd cat.

Friday 16/5. Stage 6: Calafell-Reus. 75.9km, 526m^. Only smaller hills. Only sprintpoints at the end.

Saturday 17/5. Stage 7: Calafell-Barcelona Arc de Triomf. 154.6km, 2115m^. Panta Foix 4th cat. Alto Maladona (Costa Garraf) 4th cat.

How do the points work? Quite simple. For the 4th cat climbs the fastest rider gets 1 point. 

For the 3rd cat. The first rider get's 2p and the 2nd get's 1p. 

2nd cat.= 4 for the first rider, 3 for the second, 2 for the third and 1 point for the fourth fastest rider. 

For the toughest climb, the Coll de la Creueta it's 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 points.  

The rider with the highest amount of points wins the Sammareta Blava as the winner of the GC!

For stages 2-7 there is also a sprint classification. For the final sprint there are 3, 2 and 1 points to be won. In case that the fastest climber is also the fastest sprinter, the nr 2 on the sprinters classification will win the Sammareta Taronja. 


Important information: We will ride the stages en group. Only on the categorized climbs it is as fast as you can go.

Please note that the roads are not closed for traffic and thus we strictly advice you to stick to the traffic rules.

How can I register for the Giro?

Simply fill in the form and we get in touch with you by e-mail and/or phone call. Another option is to e-mail us or call us directly on the given contact details.

What if I cannot join the Giro last minute (have to cancel) ?

30 days in advance, full refund
29-15 days before the giro starts, 50%
14 or less days before the Giro start, non-refundable

Please note that the payments need to be made by bank transfer. Full security for you and for us.

What do I need to bring with to Catalonia?

Clothes (cycling and leisure). cycling gloves, cycling shoes. EHIC health insurance pass or travel insurance for non-European Union citizens. The organizer is not responsible for any material and/or physical damage, 

Are there any discounts possible?

Yes, if you take your own bicycle with you then there is a discount of 100,- Euro per person.
Also, when you come with a group of at least 5 people there is a 5% discount (6% for 6p., 7% for 7p, 8% for 8p, 9% for 9p. and 10% for 10 and more people).
Non-cyclist family members and/or friends can also join the Giro d'Catalonia for 100,- Euro discount per person.
Last, but certainly not least there is the sustainable tourism discount.
If you come to Catalonia by train or bus then you receive another 5% discount.
Please note that the discounts are stackable. Meaning that if you come with your own bike, in a group of at least 10 people and you come to Catalonia by train, the price of the early bird goes from 1099,- Euro to 999,- Euro, then to 899,10 Euro and then even to 854,15 Euro. Meaning over 200 Euro off!
